HYDERABAD: A head constable at the Keesara police station committed suicide at his residence in Neredmet on Friday. The deceased, R Srinivas (40) lived with his wife, Sri Latha and two children at Venkateshwara Nagar Colony in Neredmet .Srinivas was promoted as a head constable two months ago and was posted to Keesara police station.On Friday afternoon, Srinivas locked himself up in a room. Suspecting something was fishy because he did not come out till 4.30 pm, his family members peeped through the window and found him hanging from the ceiling. Police said that Srinivas did not leave any suicide note.However, police suspect Srinivas took the drastic step after his superiors reprimanded him when a thief escaped from his custody A case has been registered.
