Currency agency duped of Rs 1.5 Lakh

BANGALORE: A person, suspected to be a Bangladesh national, duped a foreign currency exchange agency of Rs 1.5 lakh in Bharathinagar on Saturday. The suspect has been identified as Sheikh Moiudeen. The police said Moiudeen went to the agency on St John’s Church Road and told staff that he wanted to exchange $3,000 and gave it to a staffer. After he got Rs 1.5 lakh, he again asked the staff to give Dollars to ensure that he had not given more money. As she gave him the money for counting, he immediately escaped with Dollars and Rs 1.5 lakh.
