Custody extended of 'Mumbai terrorists’ informants'
Alleged Lashkar terrorists accused of know terror plot.

Mumbai: A city court on Wednesday sent two suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) supporters to judicial custody till January 12 for their alleged role in last month's terror attacks on Mumbai.

Fahim Ansari and Sabahuddin allegedly knew about the plan to attack Mumbai and helped the terrorists who carried out the attack with information on their targets.

Ansari, who was arrested in February by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force, had allegedly carried out reconnaissance missions at several locations across the metropolis, including the Main Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, one of the sites of the terror strikes.

Both of them were produced before metropolitan court under heavy police protection. They were brought here from Uttar Pradesh two weeks ago and were in the custody of crime branch of Mumbai police

since then.

After perusing their remand application, the court granted them judicial custody. The information two had revealed during interrogation was cross-examined with the information disclosed by the lone arrested terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Kasab in order to verify their possible links.
