CNN IBN Indian of the Year
Sixty days, six judges and millions of votes later, the jury announced the winner of the coveted CNN-IBN Indian of the Year Award at a glittering ceremony in the Capital on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh won hands down as Indian of the Year for finally stepping out of Sonia Gandhi's shadow.
In a congratulatory message from the Congress president, she wished him luck and advised him to strive and work harder and aim for India's most coveted award: ‘The Italian of the Year’.
Does Uddhav Thackeray=Sachin Tendulkar?
After the Shiv Sena's unprecedented win in the civic elections, Shiv Sena leader Manohar Joshi said, Uddhav Thackeray has shown his opponents that he cannot be written off easily and his party believes that he is the latest comeback kid after Sachin Tendulkar. What Sachin Tendulkar is to cricket, Uddhav is to politics.

Tata Motors plans air-fuelled car
Tata Motors, India's largest automobile company, has joined hands with Guy Negre, a French inventor who is working on the technology for an air-fuelled car.
The car will be built at the controversial Tata Motors Plant in Singur. Surprisingly Mamta Banerjee has agreed to this plan and has stopped her agitation at Singur.
Inside sources say, while Tata Motors will manufacture this air-Fuelled car, they have hired Mamta Banerjee to provide the air.
Musharraf contemplates a state of emergency
Pakistani President General Musharraf is reportedly considering declaring emergency in Pakistan to tide over security lapses and political instability.
In a statement he said," What Pakistan needs now is a dictator". While explaining to protesting Pakistani's. He said, "What are you worried about, nothing is going to change!"
