Doing 'Ram Leela' a big achievement for me: Sharad Kelkar
Sharad Kelkar is quite excited about 'Ram Leela' and calls it a big achievement.

Mumbai: Popular TV actor Sharad Kelkar, who has landed a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Ram Leela' is quite excited about the film and calls it a big achievement.

Off late, lot of TV actors like of Ayushmaan Khurrana, Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Hussain Kuwajerwala have turned towards the big screen. Sharad has given memorable performance in TV serials like 'Uttaran, 'Saat Phere', 'Kuch

Toh Log Kahenge' and others.

"I am doing 'Ram Leela'. And I am quite happy and excited about it. I think it is a big achievement for me," Sharad told PTI without divulging any details about his role.

'Ram Leela' stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead. Also 'Gangs of Wasseypur' fame actress Richa Chaddha is part of this ambitious project.

All Sharad revealed is that he did have an audition for the role and is happy that he got it.

Reportedly, he will be seen as Deepika's elder brother and it is a key role.

Sharad had played the role of a villain in Vikram Bhatt's '1920: Evil Returns' that had Tia Bajpai and Aftab Shivdasani in the lead. That way this is not his Bollywood debut.

The TV actor is all praise for his director, and says, "Bhansali is brilliant person. He has a unique and classy style."

'Ram Leela' is reported to be based on Shakespeare's classic Romeo and Juliet and love story in violent times. The film will be released on November 29.
