New Delhi: The Shilpa Shetty racism row has claimed an unlikely victim.
The Indian Government has recalled Kuldeep Bharadwaj, a diplomat in London after he allegedly made adverse comments against the Minister of State for External Affairs, Anand Sharma.
Bharadwaj was the spokesman for the Indian high commission in London and had made the controversial remarks in the wake of the Shilpa Shetty controversy.
Sources in the External Affair Ministry say an inquiry into the allegations will be made and that Bharadwaj will face action only if he is proven guilty.
Bharadwaj has faced similar allegations of behavioral misconduct in the past as well.
