Fashion stores, farm houses get MCD axe
Prominent fashion outlets and farm houses in posh south Delhi were targetted by the MCD in the Capital on Monday.

New Delhi: Prominent fashion outlets, including those owned by famous designers Tarun Tahiliani and Ritu Beri, and farm houses in posh south Delhi were among the areas targetted by Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Monday as the civic body sealed 68 businesses operating in residential premises.

Sealings were carried out at Mehrauli Main Market, Ambavatha, Lado Sarai and Andheria Mor, where the properties were being misused, an MCD spokesperson said.

The prominent properties sealed include Mittal Garden Farm House, Ambavathe Fashion designers showroom, Maharaja Carpets and Home Stores and Airtel office.

Monday’s sealings took the total number of shops sealed in Delhi to 3,372 since the sealing drive was resumed on November 8.
