BANGALORE: The city police are ready with high security with the guard of 1,000 policemen for inauguration of ‘Namma Metro’.Along with the police security, anti-sabotage teams, including bomb disposal squads, have been geared up for the security as Union ministers, chief minister and many VVIPs are attending the function, said Additional Commissioner of Police T Suneel Kumar to Express.City Police Commissioner B G Jyothiprakash Mirji and his team of officers went to the place of inauguration and did inspected the security arrangements. He told media persons that over 1,000 policemen including senior police officers and 12 Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) battalion personnel are deputed for the security. Joint Commissioners of Police B Dayananda and B N S Reddy are deputed as in-charge officers at MG Road and Byappanahalli Metro stations.Police personnel including DCPS, ACPs Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors and other staff are deputed at the entire stretch from the M G Road station to the Byappanahalli station. Traffic police personnel will also help the police force. Police teams with video cameras will also provide the security.
