Thiruvananthapuram: Forensic test conducted on the clothes seized by National Investigation Agency (NIA) from the house of Subhani Haja Moideen, the main accused arrested in connection with an ISIS-inspired terror module in Kerala, revealed the presence of explosive residue.
Subhani had joined ISIS in Iraq and had undergone training before coming back to India. He was arrested, along with seven other suspects.
According to NIA, six of these suspects were arrested when they were conducting a secret meeting of Ansarul Khalifa Kerala, the group formed in 2016.
They were charged with criminal conspiracy, waging war against the country, and also under sections of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
