THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Ganeshotsav Cultural Committee will organise cultural competitions for school students in connection with ‘Ganeshotsavam’ on September 3 and 4.Competitions like painting, light music, group dance, devotional songs, classical dance and quiz competitions will be held at Ganeshotsav Trust Committee hall. The cultural meet will be inaugurated by Labour Minister Shibu Baby John.Competitions will be inaugurated by ADGP S Pulikesi. Soorya Krishnamoorthy will be the main speaker. The valedictory function will be inaugurated by DGP Jacob Punnoose on September 7 at 5 pm.He will distribute prizes to the winners on the occasion. District Panchayat president Ramani P Nair will be the main speaker at the valedictory function. Additional District Magistrate Muhammed Mustafa and Vellarada panchayat president C Ashok Kumar will also be present at the function.
