New Delhi: A 24-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and raped on Monday night from outside Noida's biggest mall - The Great India Place.
The woman, reportedly, an MBA student was sitting in a Santro car with a man.
Reports suggest a group of men in a Scorpio dragged her into the car and took her to Sector 71 in Noida.
She was allegedly gangraped there and later dumped.
UP DGP Vikram Singh said that five people have already been arrested in the case and that those involved in the gruesome act will not be spared.
“Strict action will be taken against those who are involved in the Noida rape case. Five people have been arrested as of now & strict action will be taken against those who are involved in the Noida rape case,” he said
Police are not divulging any details but an FIR has been registered in the case and five people have been detained.
This is the second case of abduction in Noida in the last 48 hours.
Earlier on Sunday, a Delhi University student was abducted from the Sunday bazaar market in Noida's Sector 58 by three car-borne men.
The kidnappers allegedly pulled the 18-year-old girl in the car and then tried to rape her, before dumping her near in Ghaziabad.
