New Delhi: Alongside the Nexus 5 smartphone, Google has also launched its new Nexus 7 tablet in India. The new Nexus 7 tablet is now available on the Google India Play Store. The tablet comes in two models - 16GB and 32GB. Google is selling the 16GB WiFi only variant at Rs 20,999, while the 32GB WiFi only variant comes at Rs 23,999. Google is also offering the 32GB LTE variant (WiFi + mobile data) at Rs 27,999. The 16GB LTE version is not available on the Play Store.
The tablet is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and has 2GB RAM. It runs Android 4.3 OS. The new Nexus 7 tablet has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a front 1.2 megapixel camera.
Google says the new line of Nexus tablets boasts a higher-definition 7-inch display screen and a processor that promises to be nearly as twice as fast. Dual stereo speakers have been added for richer sound, and the device's battery duration has been extended by about an hour.
