New Delhi: Former BJP ideologue K N Govindacharya on Monday said that firebrand leader Uma Bharti, who was expelled from the BJP for anti-party activities, was capable of defending herself.
Govindacharya said that Uma Bharti was expelled by the BJP from the primary membership of the party for showing dissent against the party's decision to appoint Shivraj Singh Chouhan as the Chief Minister.
"Umaji has the capability to tackle the present crisis and emerge successful and there is no need for any support or advice in this regard," he added.
On Bharti's slogan "Ram and Roti", Govindacharya said the slogan was a symbol of 'Indian cultural consciousness.'
Govindacharya, who heads the 'Rashtriya Swaabhiman Andolan' organisation, denied reports that Bharti would join its ranks.
