KHAMMAM: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has announced that the state government is planning to develop a growth corridor with roads connecting the border areas of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattishgarh and Orissa with an estimated cost of Rs 2,600 crore soon. The programme will be taken up with the Central government's assistance to develop Maoistaffected districts.
Kiran Kumar Reddy who toured the district laid foundation stones for many developmental works worth Rs 375.53 crore in Khammam district. He launched the Indira Jala Prabha scheme in Kaikondaigudem of Chandrugonda mandal in the district.

Later, he participated in Rachabanda programme in Ramakrishnapuram village in Chintakani mandal.

He reiterated that education and welfare top the priority programmes of his government. As part of the newlylaunched Rajiv Yuvakiranalu scheme, about 52,000 youths from the district would be trained and be given placement in different private companies over the next three years.
