New Delhi: The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday decided to adjourn the hearing in the Noida Extension land acquisition case till August 17. It was supposed to deliver a verdict on Tuesday on the acquisition of 2,500 hectares of land in seven villages in Noida Extension.
Earlier the High Court had referred hearing on Devla village in the Noida extension case to the Chief Justice of India SH Kapadia.
A total of 250 petitions were filed before the court in the past two weeks by farmers challenging the state's decision to acquire land.
Some builders too have filed petitions stating that their projects were all legal. The verdict, whenever announced, will have a direct bearing on 27 ongoing projects including Gaur, Amrapali, Ajnara and Super City.
