Dubai: With shouts of 'I love you Shah Rukh' emanating from a thousand strong crowd, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan unveiled the look of his upcoming action thriller 'Don 2' at the ongoing Dubai International Film Festival and ever the charmer, the actor said he has made bad look really good in the movie.
The 46-year-old actor, who enjoys a huge fan-following in UAE, said he enjoyed making the 'Don' sequel, which hits theatres in 2D and 3D on December 23.
"When I am good, I am good but when I am bad, I am better. I have a dark soul and I am very proud of the film because I could be as bad as I wanted and there is no justification. Of course, we are not glorifying the bad things but in my 70 films odd career I have never enjoyed playing a part like I do in Don 2," said Shah Rukh.
The actor was accompanied by co-star Priyanka Chopra, director Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani but the evening clearly belonged to him as he charmed his way through the crowd with his quick repartees.
The film faced some trouble in India because of its smoking scenes and responding to a question from a young audience member, Shah Rukh said he never considered himself a role model.
"I don't consider myself a role model. I have little kids of my own and I make movies for them. But honestly I think they should be exposed to all kind of stories so they can give vent to whatever is in their system and grow up to be cool like me. We are not justifying anything here," he said.
One of the best loved stars in India, Shah Rukh said he tries to do different things 'within the parameters of commercial cinema'.
Talking about the Indian audience, Shah Rukh said people in India, UAE and Asia are more ready to welcome a new technology like 3D but he wants it to be enjoyed without glasses.
"'Don 2' has been converted into 3D. I think the audience is ready for new technology and there will soon be a time when 3D would be the norm and not the exception. There are now 600 to 800 3D theatres in India. There is a 30 per cent hike in the tickets but it will come down."
