The Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) had declared the result of CA IPCC (Intermediate) - May 2017 Examination on its official website icaiexam.icai.org. And the #1 Rank Position for ICAI IPCC May 2017 is bagged by Gaurav Sarawagi from Churu, Rajasthan who scored 80.71% while the second position was taken by Ronak Rajendra Jain from Nashik, Pune, Maharashtra with 80.14% followed closely by Hasan Mohammad Ibrahim Iqbal Usama of Nagpur, Maharashtra who scored 80% marks thereby fetching the third position. The overall pass percentage of the ICAI CA IPCC May 2017 examination stands at 17.48% given the difficulty level of the exam.
For a student to pursue the Chartered Accountancy course in India, he/she has to qualify three levels of examination. Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) is the second level of exam to be cleared after the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) and before the CA Final Exam. The IPCC Intermediate examination is usually conducted two times in a year in the months of May and November. A total of 443 Centers conducted the IPCC Exam 2017 out which 438 centers were in India and 5 centers abroad with over 2 lakh participants.
IPC examination is divided into two groups with a total of seven subjects. If the candidate appears for the exam in both the groups and obtains 50% marks together in both, he/she is considered as qualified even if they fail to secure 50% aggregate in each group individually. The Merit List is published online for the candidates who secure more than 55% aggregate.

The students who have qualified the ICAI CA IPCC May 2017 exam can start preparing for the CA – Final exam that will be held in November as per the schedule given below:
Group I: November 1, 3, 6 and 8 2017
Group II: November 10, 12, 14 and 16 2017
The CA-Final Exam will be conducted between 2PM to 5PM during the afternoon session on all exam days.
