BELLARY:  Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) team visited the mining areas in Sandur to prepare the  reclamation and rehabilitation plan of the areas affected by mining on Friday. Around 12 persons including scientists and experts from Dehradun-based ICFRE in three separate teams visited the mining areas of    and Kumaragouda. ICFRE scientist Pankaj Agarwal headed the team.   According to sources the team will continue to be in Sandur for another two to three days. It is said the team was asked to submit the reclamation and rehabilitation plan of the mining areas across Bellary, Chitradurga and Tumkur districts. After visiting the mines in Sandur, the team will move to Chitradurga and Tumkur. According to  sources the team will stay in Karnataka till April 14. The team arrived on Thursday night and from Friday morning began visiting the mining areas. Experts Dr B R Mohanti, Dr Arunkumar, Dr Keshavamurthy, HB Vasista, Sandeep Ghosh and officials from forest, revenue and mines and geology departments visited.
