ICRI celebrates graduation day

BANGALORE: Institute of Clinical Research India organised the ‘Graduation Ceremony’ for a batch of 90 students of MSc in Clinical Research from the Institute of Clinical Research India (ICRI).The Graduation function was graced by prominent spokespersons from ICRI, The Cranfield University — UK and Senior Directors of Central Govt Health Services (CGHS), Karnataka, Bangalore. The function was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr  Shanmugananda, Addl Director, Central Govt  Health Services CGHS), Bangalore.ICRI is India’s first and the world’s largest clinical research institute and is currently operating out of six campuses in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Dehradun and Bangalore. On this occasion SR Dugal, chairman, board of directors, ICRI said, “Every convocation ceremony in ICRI is a proud moment for all its faculty and non faculty members as it is a reward for our educational commitment to each and every student who enrolls in our institute and passes with flying colours.”A total of 80 students were awarded with post graduation degree at the ceremony. Dr Pravina Koteshwar, principal, ICRI, Bangalore Campus said, “It’s a proud moment for us to see our students graduating with flying colours. It only reinforces the efforts ICRI takes to provide its students with state of the art technology, infrastructure and global exposure.”Professor Joan Houghton, course director,  MSc clinical research, Cranfield University, UK on the occasion said, “On the occasion of ICRI completing seven years of its existence as pioneers in education of clinical research, it gives us immense pleasure to be part of this convocation ceremony being held at Bangalore campus.”Prof Peter Lee, course director, MSc Health Operations, Cranfield University, UK felt proud to be a part of the ceremony and was excited about the setting global values to the young talent pool in India. Clinical research is fast growing into a coveted vocation with more and more multinational pharma majors sourcing work through India. Since its inception the institute has been the pioneer in providing for specialised courses in field of clinical research.
