Panaji: Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who received huge applause for his film 'Lage Raho Munnabhai', attended Day 1 of the ongoing 10-day long IFFI. Vidhu's popular Bollywood project wowed everyone especially with the way in which it re-introduced Mahatma Gandhi's principles and virtues in an entertaining yet emotional way.
Before he could begin with the special session that was organised to pay special tribute to eminent British filmmaker Richard Attenborough, best known for his Oscar- winning film 'Gandhi', Vidhu Vinod Chopra was seen speaking to filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar, who told him, "Only you could monetise Mahatma Gandhi." Vidhu Vinod was quick to reply, "After Attenborough".
Attenborough passed away on August 24 this year, just a few days before his 91st birthday.
