Be it their secret desire, their guilt or their true feelings, the 25-year-old said, "I own the website but I let people run it completely. It is designed for them and they are welcome to confess their heart out in my website."
Currently working with a team of 100 freelance writers, Asopa works from home.
"I started with a magazine two years back by the name of 21fools. Along with it I also ran a small business of greeting cards by the same name. The magazine got great response from the readers in these two years and our small team sent 2000 greeting cards to soldiers posted on the Indian army border," Asopa said when asked about the inspiration behind starting such a network of confessors.
It was only recently that Asopa came across the website postsecret.com. It planted the germ of an idea in his head. The website has already got great response from people and has over 100 confessions till now.
Confessions.21fools.com boasts of a moderately prominent presence in social media forums like Facebook and Twitter, he said.
So what made this B.Tech graduate from the Delhi College of Engineering take up and pursue something so off beat?
"It gives me immense satisfaction to do what I am doing right now. My work is a medium to reach people's lives. Through my work I try to ease their problems and worries of daily lives. As the times that we are living in is full of stress and complexities and even the media constantly focuses on societal issues that are raw and disturbing. During such a time my effort is not to showcase myself as a love guru or a fairy with a magic stick but to do something different and impactful to help mankind," he said.
He believed that 'technological innovation should have a definite direction' in a world that is not so safe. "To ensure the safety and security of my website I personally go through all the confessions. I and my team make sure of the person's total anonymity is maintained and confessions carrying definite names and identifications are removed from the site immediately. Our team does reply to some people wanting a way out of their situations and sometimes when there are suicidal confessions it gets a little difficult to handle for us. But we do the best we can."
"Well yes I too have my own confession on the site but I would not like to point out which one."
