IOC Fire: Disaster plan 'misleading', probe ordered
There are reports that evidence has been tampered with by officials.

Jaipur: A local court on Friday directed the Director General of Police to register an FIR and investigate into the alleged framing up of an "incorrect and misleading" disaster management plan for Jaipur city by top officials.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate ordered to lodge an FIR against DM Kuldeep Ranka, IG Police Range (first) B L Soni and SP East Biju George Joseph on a criminal complaint filed by a city based lawyer Mahendra Gaur.

The trio has been alleged that they prepared a fabricated 'district disaster management plan' for Jaipur and posted it on the website of Disaster Management Department of the government, whereas there was no such official document available.

The plan was a concocted document prepared by taking excerpts from different districts, it alleged.

There was no disaster management plan for Jaipur when the IOC inferno took place. When he wrote an e-mail to the Chief Minister in this regard, the state machinery swung into action and a concocted disaster management plan for Jaipur city was posted on the website of the Disaster Management and Relief Department, the complainant alleged.

He further alleged that the three named accused allowed the Committee headed by M B Lal former CMD of HPCL, probing the IOC inferno, to enter the scene of offence, examine, tamper, remove material evidences, and influence crucial witnesses under their own supervision.
