Continuous ceasefire violations by Pakistan will be the top agenda of the meeting between the Directors General of the Border Security Force(BSF) and the Pakistan Rangers.
India feels that there has been no response from Pakistan despite the waving of a white flag. According to reports, there have been more than 90 ceasefire violations in the last two months.
While, India wants to go strictly by the Shimla Agreement of 1972, Pakistan on the other hand wants to seek third party intervention. It wants UN observers on Military Operations to visit the border.
Pakistan is also going to raise the alleged air space violation by an Indian unidentified aerial vehicle, a charge that India has flatly denied. It also wants a ban on mortar firing as well as installation of cameras at select locations along the border.
The meeting between chiefs of Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers will be held from September 9 to 13.
