Subramanian Swamy has threatened to sue the BCCI for adopting selective media leaks to sack Chappell and Dravid.

New Delhi: Bangladesh romped home victorious over Bermuda by an emphatic seven-wicket margin to enter the Super Eight stage of the World Cup on a rain-interrupted day at Port of Spain on Sunday.

And the win meant that India was out of the World Cup, an early loss compared to the last World Cup when Team India managed to reach the finals.

Many have blamed coach Greg Chappell and captain Rahul Dravid for the lack of performance.

However, one person has taken offence to the 'bashing' received by the duo. Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy has threatened to sue the BCCI in court for adopting selective media leaks to sack Chappell and Dravid.

He has sought a full inquiry into the working and huge funds at the disposal of the Indian cricket board.

Dr Swamy in a statement accused the media of launching a motivated and systematic campaign to throw out Dravid and Chappell at the behest of individual members like Rajiv Shukla and bring in Sachin Tendulkar who had given up the captaincy unable to shoulder the heavy burden.

Dravid, Swamy was quoted by news agency UNI as saying, was a 'consistent performer' in whatever order he was required on the field.

"If the BCCI will not stop targeting performing players, I will be left with no alternative but to approach the Court and seek an inquiry into the working of the BCCI," Swamy was further quoted as saying.

''We can't allow cricket to be ruined for crude business reasons and at the behest of those with a personal axe to grind,'' he told UNI.
