Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar is not likely to reshuffle portfolios anytime soon as he is happy with all his Cabinet ministers.

After reviewing the work of the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha  at Halaga-Bastawad, 10 kilometres from Belgaum, Shettar refused to discuss the Cabinet reshuffle. “It is the power given to the CM and such matters should not be discussed in public.

“All the ministers are cooperating in the smooth running of the government. There is no post like ‘Super CM’ in Karnataka,” he added.

Shettar said that a CM always works under pressure. He refused to comment on who would lead the party in the upcoming Assembly elections.  To solve the strike of doctors working in government hospitals, Shettar said that he has convened a meeting of doctors at Bangalore on August 9. Article 371 giving special powers to Hyderabad Karnataka region would be passed smoothly in Parliament, he said.

A source told Express that the CM would camp in Delhi when the Monsoon session of Lok Sabha begins to appeal to all the MPs to support the smooth passage of the Bill.
