The private hospitals that come under the ambit of the scheme are not aware about how it works.
A well-intentioned scheme by the Karnataka government for accident victims may not be as well-planned. Two weeks after the Harish Santhvana Yojana was launched, sources said that scheme looked like a non-starter.
As of now, the private hospitals that come under the ambit of the scheme are not aware about how it works.
The scheme makes it compulsory for private hospitals to treat accident victims, with government claiming that it will reimburse the bill.
However, no guidelines have been put in place by the government in this regard.
This comes just days after three men died in an accident in Mysuru as no one came forward to help the victims despite repeated cries for help.
