HYDERABAD: The daylong speculation that Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K Chandrasekhar Rao will go on an indefinite hunger strike, reminiscent of the one he had undertaken in 2009, came to an end in the evening with the TRS supremo allowing himself to be persuaded against the move by his family members, Telangana Joint Action Committee leaders and Congress steering committee chairman K Keshava Rao.
The TRS chief who was keen on undertaking the fast finally decided to drop the proposal when the TJAC too told him that there was no need for him to take up the hunger strike since the situation did not warrant it. They reportedly told him that if situation comes to such a pass, they could take a call on it, sources said.Throughout the day, the TRS camp was agog with excitement over the possibility of their leader going on fast. Though some did not like the idea others felt if he undertakes fast, it would take the movement to the next level.
