Kolkata: Suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh on Sunday wrote to the party leadership, including TMC supremo Mamata Banergee, urging for revocation of the suspension order served on him, saying he was sorry if his comments had hurt any party worker.

Ghosh, however, said he would stick to the issues he had raised against the TMC leadership and sought a chance to register his views before the party. Claiming that he had not received any show-cause notice from the party leadership as had been stated by some TMC leaders, Ghosh said, "I have written three separate letters to Mamata Banerjee, Partha Chatterjee and Mukul Roy."

"In my letter to Mukul Roy and Partha Chatterjee, I have requested them to revoke the suspension order and send me the show-cause notice instead, as I am yet to receive it. I want to answer the show-cause notice," Ghosh said over phone.

"I have also said in the letter that I stick to the issues that I have raised. However, if my comments have hurt any Trinamool worker, I am sorry, because I do not want to hurt anyone. In that letter, I have also said that I am a loyal soldier of Trinamool Congress and have been with the party during its tough days," Ghosh said.

Asked about the contents of his his letter to the Chief Minister, Ghosh said he did not want to disclose it. "If the party wants to disclose it, it can do so." However, sources said that in his letter to Banerjee, he had claimed innocence and sought revocation of the suspension order. Ghosh said he was ready to face an intra-party inquiry into the allegations made by him.

"I want to place my views and register my comments before the party," the MP said. Ghosh was served a show-cause notice by TMC for making anti-party statements. He was suspended from the party on Saturday. The MP, who had recently demanded a CBI inquiry into the Saradha Group scandal, was summoned by the police thrice last week for questioning.

He had threatened to "reveal many things" if arrested in the scam. Meanwhile, Somnath Dutta, a senior executive of Saradha Group's media wing and a close aide of Ghosh, was on Saturday arrested in connection with the scam just hours after Ghosh was suspended.
