Laksharchana conducted at Sabarimala temple

PATHANAMTHITTA: Laksharchana was conducted at Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa Temple on the concluding day of the five-day monthly poojas for the Malayalam month of Kumbham on Saturday.“As part of the laksharchana, Thantri Kandararu Maheswararu performed the ‘brahmakalasa’ pooja at the nalambalam at 6 am,” Sabarimala executive officer M Sathish Kumar said. The ritual concluded after the thantri performed ‘kalasabhishekam’ during uchcha pooja. ‘Sahasrakalasam’ and ‘kalabhabhishekam’ were the other special rituals held at the temple.Both the rituals were held during the uchcha pooja under the leadership of Thantri Kandararu Maheswararu and Melsanthi N Balamurali .Udayasthamana pooja, pushpabhishekam and padi pooja were the other poojas held at the temple.Temple ClosedThe temple was closed at 10 pm after athazha pooja and ‘Harivarasanam’.Shrine to Reopen on March 13Lord Ayyappa Temple would be reopened on March 13 evening for the five-day monthly poojas for the Malayalam month of Meenam.
