Jammu: The Army on Saturday busted a hideout of Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) militant and recovered a cache of ammunition and explosive material in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A column of Rashtriya Rifles (RR) troops and police launched a joint operation in Bhalna area of Keshwan forest belt of Kishtwar district today and busted a big hideout, which was being used by the LeT District commander Habib Gujjar alias Salman, Army officials said.

They recovered one Chinese origin grenade, 140 rounds of AK-47, three Blankets, one bed sheet, three glasses, two cooking utensils and a Jerri cane filled with water.

"The busting of the hideout has succeeded in derailing the nefarious designs of the terrorists", they said adding that Salman, who had escaped from encounter in Doda belt recently, had been evading contact with Security Forces in the Keshwan bowls.
