Leopard found dead near Anegondi

KOPPAL: A ten year old female leopard was found dead at Durgadevi Betta, about oneandahalf km from Anegondi, near here on Wednesday. The leopard reportedly fell prey to hunters on Tuesday night. It was noticed by the local forest officials around 4 pm on Wednesday. Villagers said that wild pigs had become a menace in the villages bordering the forest as they often stray into agricultural fields and destroy crops.
