Lokayukta police today raided the
premises of three officials of Karnataka Government, including
that of a Revenue Inspector, and uncovered "disproportionate"
assets amassed by them to the tune of Rs 3.06 crore. The premises of Deputy Director of Food and Civil Supplies,
Chikmagalur, Ratnakar Naik, Assistant Town Planning Officer,
Mangalore City Corporation, G Rajagopal and Revenue Inspector,
Kuskur Circle of Anekal Taluk in Bangalore Rural Distrrict, L
C Veeresh, came under the raids, Lokayukta ADGP Satyanarayana
Rao said in a statement. Assets valued at Rs 84.83 lakh were detected from two
premises of Rajagopal and about Rs 1.64 crore belonging to
Veeresh during searches at his two premises. The raid at Naik's four premises has revealed assets valued
at Rs 57.32 lakh. Cases under Prevention of Corruption Act has been
registered against the accused officials and futher
investigation is on, it said.
