Looking back at robbery incidents

BANGALORE: Monday's bank robbery at Bidadi was the latest in such incidents in the city in recent times. The previous incidents: ■ May 6, 2011- In one of the biggest bank robberies, a gang struck Vijaya Bank’s Vidyanagar branch on BIAL Road and made away with two kilograms of gold ornaments and cash, of total worth about Rs 70 lakh.■ February 4, 2008 - A gang of five barged into Andhra Bank’s Rajarajeshwari Nagar branch and decamped with Rs 2.9 lakh. Security guard was not deployed.
