Kolkata: Seemingly unmoved by her party's poll debacle in the West Bengal Assembly elections, Trinamool Congress (TC) chief Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said she was not disappointed by the results.
"Certainly I am not disappointed," Mamata said.
The TC leader said that she would assess her party's poll results thoroughly. However, added, "At this stage, I will not speak further."
Mamata who refused to severe her party's alliance with the BJP and instead urged the Congress to be part of an anti-CPI-M alliance which was turned down, said both the CPI-M and the Congress fared well in the elections.
"We thank the Central and the state governments for their good performance,” Mamata said.
She also added, "Whatever be the election results, we congratulate the media for their role from the very beginning. They are the Man of the Match.”
