Francesco Totti says beating Manchester United in the Champions League would be better than winning the World Cup.

New Delhi: AS Roma skipper Francesco Totti has declared that beating Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday would be better than winning the World Cup with Italy.

Roma head to Old Trafford with a 2-1 lead from the first leg at home and have the chance to book a semi-final either against AC Milan or Bayern Munich. Manchester United will be without Paul Scholes and Louis Saha. Scholes is serving a one-match ban after being sent off in the first leg, while Saha is out with a troubled hamstring.

In the second Champions League clash, Michael Essien and Arjen Robben may be missing from their first eleven as the Blues take on Valencia in their second leg.

The Spaniards go into the game with a valuable away goal following last week's 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea's season has been tumultuous, first being rocked by a series of injuries to key players and then by the constant speculation regarding coach Jose Mourinho's future.

Valewncia's Fernando Morientes joins the long-injury list that includes Edu and Ruben Baracca. The winners will face the winners of the Liverpool vs PSV Eindhoven tie in the semi-final.
