KARIMNAGAR: Maoists retaliated to top leader Mollojula Koeteswar Rao alias Kishenji's encounter death by setting ablaze vehicles of the Devadula project pipeline works in Karimnager district on Wednesday night. They also took supervisor Ramulu and tractor driver Parusaram along with them while leaving. One excavator, two tractors and one generator were damaged partially in the attack. The incident took place ahead of the People's Liberation Guerilla Army sponsored Kishenji memorial week, which will begin on Friday.
According to reports, about 30 armed Maoists entered Andhra Pradesh from Chattisgarh on Wednesday night. The incident took place between Mukunoor of Mahadevpur mandal in Karimnagar district and Gangam of Eturunagaram mandal in Warangal district.The armed group reportedly crossed Godavari river from Chattishgarh using country boats. They also tried to set ablaze Devadula project machinery.
