Mayor leaves advice as farewell

HYDERABAD: As she submitted her resignation letter on Saturday, outgoing GHMC Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy, pointed out various glitches in the smooth running of the city administration and expressed displeasure over functioning of officials in the various wings of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC)."Lack of coordination among various wings is a cause of concern. I have already submitted a detailed report on this issue to the GHMC commissioner.The GHMC Standing Committee and corporators have to focus on this and try to bring about a proper administration in the interest of the people," she said.Before demitting the Mayor's office, she told the Council that apart from improving Town Planning, Engineering and Parks, the Urban Community Development (UCD) wing has to be made more vibrant.
