New Delhi: Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) chief Vaiko, an important all of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Tamil Nadu, will hold a black flag demonstration against Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa in Delhi on Monday.

Rajapaksa will be in Delhi on Monday to attend Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi's oath-taking ceremony and Vaiko along with other Tamil Nadu leaders has been vehemently opposed to his visit alleging his government's involvement in killing of Sri Lankan Tamils.

Vaiko and his supporters will hold the black flag protest demonstration at 10.30 AM on Monday at Delhi's Jantar Mantar. A simultaneous protest will also be organised at Chennai Collectorate in Tamil Nadu.

"At this juncture if Rajapaksa is invited, whose hands are stained with the blood of Tamils (and) that will be a bolt from the blue for the people of Tamil Nadu. I have made my reservation clear. I am waiting what decision Narendra Modi and the NDA is going to take," Vaiko had said on Friday while making it clear that he would oppose the visit.

Tamil Nadu politicians have been vocal critics of the Sri Lankan government, raising alleged genocide of Tamils during the civil war against the LTTE.

DMK chief M Karunanidhi urged Modi to drop the move of inviting Rajapaksa who is being accused of alleged genocide in Sri Lanka nation. He said that inviting Rajapaksa will hurt the sentiments of Tamils world over.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa is likely to skip the oath taking ceremony while the DMK has also opposed the visit.
