Understanding of GodI have been trying to understand God for a long time now, I hope to understand him some day. But sometimes God like a consciousness and we are mere representatives of that. For me idol worship is more like exploring the minute details engraved on the idol and the reason behind its shape and form. Idols are just a medium to realise oneself. Also, I believe the body itself is the temple. Spiritual belief and practicesMy belief is that one exists at various levels. When a child grows into a young adult, the childishness is still hidden somewhere in him. Similarly, when a young person reaches middle age, the youthfulness is still there inside but is left unexpressed. I strongly feel that human beings are born several times. I am a self-taught artist, I do not have a guru and my art has come to me from my previous birth.There is this other thing that I completely believe in and that is, knowledge chooses the person — not otherwise. My painting is my prayer, and the canvas holds a vast area which reflects my inner space (a space which is filled with knowledge). Also, painting is like a ritual for me.Take on meditationMeditation doesn’t mean one has to lock oneself up in a room and sit still in one place. Even though the body is stationary while meditating, the mind is continuously travelling back and forth. Meditation is the ability to control the mind. Favourite pilgrimage sitesFor me the entire earth is like one big pilgrimage site. I do not visit temples too often. I like Tirupati a lot.
