Nitesh, who leads Swabhiman Sanghatana was arrested along with 8 others on Monday over allegedly assaulting toll booth worker.
Mumbai: Five alleged supporters of Nitesh Rane have been arrested for vandalising public property on Monday. The supporters had gone on rampage after Nitesh, son of Maharashtra Industries Minister Narayan Rane was arrested for allegedly assaulting a toll booth attendant in Goa. Nitesh is now out on bail.
Nitesh, who leads Swabhiman Sanghatana, a Mumbai-based outfit, was arrested alongwith eight others on Monday over the incident.
Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has said that Nitesh was partly involved, while five others actually attacked the staff and vandalised the booth.
