THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy clarified that the agreement the Achuthanandan Government had entered into with TECOM for the Smart City project had not been tampered with.The Chief Minister was responding to E P Jayarajan's charge during discussion in the Assembly on Monday that the UDF Government had converted the 70:30 utilisation ratio of the project to a 50:50 one."Under the agreement of the previous government, the 70:30 ratio is only for the builtup space. As for the utilisation of the remaining space, you have left the wordings very vague in the agreement. We have not changed anything," Chandy said.Former Minister S Sarma, who was the chairman of the Smart City Board, then asked the Chief Minister whether the project fell under a "multipurpose SEZ".Under the LDF agreement, Sarma said it fell under 'IT/ITES SEZ'.Chandy, and Industries Minister Kunhalikutty, reiterated that not a single dot or comma of the agreement had been changed.
