New Delhi: Struggling Finnish cellphone maker Nokia unveiled two new cellphone models, the Asha 205 and the Asha 206, pricing both models at around $62, excluding subsidies and taxes. The Nokia Asha 205 and Nokia 206 are both available in single SIM or dual SIM versions. Both models will go on sale this quarter.
Nokia unveiled a new Slam feature which allows consumers to share multimedia content like photos and videos with nearby friends almost instantly through Bluetooth connection. The Nokia Asha 205 and Nokia 206 are the first Mobile Phones devices to include Nokia's exclusive Slam feature.
Slam works with most Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient needing to also have Slam. However, Slam is currently not compatible with iOS and Windows Phone devices.
Nokia Asha 205
The Nokia Asha 205 has a QWERTY keyboard. It also features a new, dedicated Facebook button. The Nokia Asha 205 is available in Cyan, Magenta and Orange. The estimated retail price for the Nokia Asha 205 is around $62, excluding taxes and subsidies, and it is expected to start shipping in the fourth quarter of 2012. The Dual-SIM variant of the Nokia Asha 205 has the same specs mentione below, but with a lower standby time – 25 days vs 37 days.

The dual-SIM variant of the Nokia Asha 206 has almost identical specs, but with a slightly lower standby time (25 days vs 47 days standby)
