One person was killed and 18 others were injured on Sunday, one of them critically, when a minibus in which they were travelling, overturned near a village on NH-83 in Bihar's Jehanabad district, police sources said.
The mishap occured at Kosh Dihara village when a minibus lost control and overturned, the sources said adding as many as 19 persons sustained injuries. An injured person, identified as Paras Mishra (65) died during treatment at the Sadar hospital, they said.
The other injured persons were admitted to the same hospital. The attending doctors referred a critically injured man to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in the state capital, the sources said.
The ill-fated minibus was carrying the occupants to their native Sheshamba village after cremation of a fellow villager on the bank of river Ganga at Fatuha last night, they added.
