KOZHIKODE: The technical committee that was formed to probe into the admission of Nirmal Madhavan has found that the admission is against the norms of University admission procedure. The technical committee has highlighted three major points in the report that claims the admission is illegal. The findings of the committee point out that the Clauses 14, 15 and 7 of Calicut University Regulation have been bypassed to give admission to Nirmal Madhavan at the Government Engineering College, West Hill. The committee has highlighted that Nirmal’s rank in the state-level Common Entrance Exam is 22,787, while the least ranked student in his class is ranked 5,646. The committee has also said that admission of Nirmal Madhavan into the 5th semester by skipping 3rd and 4th semester is something that is against the University law. The last point of the report is that the Government Order to conduct special internal exams for Nirmal Madahavan cannot be done according to University laws. The report has also asked the government to take decision after considering the findings of the committee.
