Kerala: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday will make his first public address in Kozhikode in Kerala since the Uri terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir in which 18 Indian soldiers were martyred and four suspects were killed in a gun battle on September 18.

On Saturday, the Prime Minister is likely to reach Kozhikode on a two-day visit to attend BJP's National Council Meet.

He will fly down to Karipur in the afternoon where he will address a public rally at 5 pm on the Kozhikode beach.

BJP's former Kerala unit president, V Muraleedharan had said, "Our Prime Minister will address a public meeting being organised as part of the national council."

The BJP meet is being held to commemorate RSS ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyay's birth centenary. The party will raise government schemes aimed for the welfare of the poor.
