The incident occurred when the plant workers were turning it to liquid state to prepare the pesticide used to destroy weeds and grasses,” the CDMO said. Meanwhile, ADM Rasid Khan, district agriculture officer Umesh Sahu, a senior official from Krushi Vigyan Kendra at Ranital, Prasanta Behera, Simulia medical officer Bijay Panda and several other officials visited the plant to take stock of the situation.  The plant employees fled soon after the incident.
