A minor pregnant girl, accused in an abduction case, was found missing from the hospital where she was admitted, police said on Thursday.
A 17-year-old girl, accused of abducting another seven-year-old girl in March, was admitted to a woman hospital in Sanganeri-gate from a Balika-Grah after she complained of labour pain on Tuesday, police said.
Probation and Prison Cell officer of the Balika-Grah, Gargi Sharma said an FIR has been lodged with the Lalkothi police station after the girl was found missing from the hospital.
"The girl was married before age and she was in her final stage of pregnancy. On Tuesday she complained of labour pain and we took her to the hospital," Sharma said
"But she probably escaped when our employee who was with her in the hospital went to the washroom," she added.
The teenager was shifted from Bharatpur's Mathura Gate police station to Balika-Grah on charges of abducting a seven-year-old girl in March.
An alert was sounded on the district borders to trace the missing girl, Lalkothi Police Station SHO Sampat Singh said.
