Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday attended Ganesh Puja at the residence of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud’s residence in New Delhi. The Prime Minister was seen offering his prayers to the deity along with the chief justice and his spouse Kalpana Das.
Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated with religious fervour and devotion across the country.
This sacred ten-day festival begins on ‘Chaturthi’ and concludes on ‘Anantha Chaturdashi’.
Prime Minister Modi also extended his heartiest greetings of Ganesh Chaturthi to all the countrymen and chanted the holy prayer, Ganpati Bappa Morya in a social media post shared at the beginning of the festivities.
“Heartiest greetings of Ganesh Chaturthi to all countrymen. Ganpati Bappa Morya,’ the Prime Minister tweeted.
President Droupadi Murmu also greeted people on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi and said the festival gave the message of social harmony and brotherhood.
“On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all Indians living in India and abroad,” she said in a message on the eve of the festival.
