KOTTAYAM: The state government would intensify the probe to bring the culprits of the sensational forged judicial stamp paper scam before a court, Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said on Sunday. A special team headed by Thiruvananthapuram City Police Commissioner T J Jose would conduct the preliminary investigation, he said while talking to mediapersons here. The probe may be extended across the state and even outside, if necessary, he added.“The government has been receiving reports from various quarters pointing to the magnitude of the scam. Hence, the probe cannot be confined to one district. A special team has been formed, and action would be taken without delay,” said the minister. He added that the probe may be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) if needed. Also, the High Court will be kept abreast of the developments of the probe, he said.“The truth has to be brought out. The scamsters and middlemen involved will be brought before law,” he added.
