Reliance Cement launches in Madhya Pradesh

Reliance Cement Company Private Limited on Friday launched its product in Madhya Pradesh.

"Madhya Pradesh is one of the largest cement consuming states in India with total consumption of around 13 million tonnes per annum," RCC CEO Arvind Pathak told reporters after launching the product.

"The (local) market is expected to grow at the rate of eight per cent over the next few years," he said.

He claimed that in a first in India, the Reliance Cement bags will have a unique QR code printing, which can be read through smartphones to get more information about the product.

The company at present has a capacity to produce 5.8 Million Tonne Per Annum (MTPA) and is planning to raise it to 50 MTPA. Pathak, however, did not specify any timeframe for it.
